Image Lock Ready-for-Use DTG Pre-Treatment Solution

Lawson Image Lock Ready-for-Use (RFU) Pre-Treatment Solution is favored by industry leaders for its minimal staining, soft hand feel, excellent wash fastness, and vibrant color brilliance in direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, particularly with Epson printers.

This solution can be applied using automatic pre-treat sprayers, such as the Lawson Zoom-AE, or manually with a Wagner spray gun, mist sprayer, pump sprayer, airbrush, or garden sprayer.

Application Instructions: Apply an even coat of Image Lock to the print area, avoiding over-saturation. Dry the garment using a conveyor dryer, such as the Lawson Digi-Dry Box, Digi-Star, or Blazer Textile Dryer, or a heat transfer press.

Drying with Heat Transfer Press: When using a heat transfer press, avoid Teflon sheets or silicone-treated parchment paper. Use plain parchment paper, lower the press gently onto the garment, and press at 330°F for 10 seconds. Remove the paper and press for an additional 10–15 seconds with heavy pressure.

Curing a Finished DTG Print: Cure printed garments at 330°F (165°C) for 90–180 seconds, depending on shirt color, using a heat transfer press with medium to heavy pressure. Use silicone-treated parchment paper, heat transfer paper, or a Teflon sheet for glossy prints.

Application Notes: Over-application may cause staining and lead to flaking or peeling during washing. Lighter-colored garments require less pre-treatment than darker colors like black or navy. Garments can be pre-treated in batches before printing. Test curing methods before production, as these are suggested guidelines.

Warning: Pre-treatment solution triggers a chemical reaction with white ink. Ensure the print head does not contact the pre-treated garment to prevent permanent clogging. Always verify print head and garment clearance before printing.

Storage: Store in a tightly capped container in a cool area (50–100°F or 10–38°C).

Washability: Wash garments inside out in cold water and use a delicate dryer setting.
